BIOFA Hard Wax is a premium, natural wax blend from beeswax and carnauba wax. It protects and maintains substrates made from wood, cork, linoleum, etc. for indoor applications. The hard wax is easy to use, colorless, diffusion-capable and has a pleasant, mild odor. The finish has a satin sheen, and is grip proof and tread proof and anti-static.
The hard was is suited for all untreated, smooth, or already waxed, stained, and oiled hardwoods and softwoods. Specifically for floors, furniture, interior wood, toys, antiques, etc. Do not use for wet areas and in spray water areas.
BIOFA Hard Wax complies with stringent European regulations such as EN 71, part 3.

Properties
BIOFA Hard Wax is a premium, natural wax blend from bees-wax and carnauba wax. It protects and maintains substrates made from wood, cork, linoleum, etc. for indoor applications. The hard wax is easy to use, colorless, diffusion-capable and has a pleasant, mild odor. The finish has a satin sheen, and is grip proof and tread proof and anti-static. Suited for all untreated, smooth, or already waxed, stained, and oiled hardwoods and softwoods. Specifically for floors, furniture, interior built ins, toys, antiques, etc. Do not use for wet areas and in spray water areas. Complies with the EN 71, part 3 (safety of children's toys)
Ingredients
Aromatic-free, highly-purified white spirit, carnauba wax, bees wax, micro-wax, citral
Processing steps
1. Preparation
The substrate must be sanded with a fine grit, dry (max. wood moisture con-tent: 12%), and clean; clean with BIO-FA Thinner 0500 as needed. Prime with BIOFA Universal Wood Primer 3755 solvent-free on highly absorbent substrates. Sand between coats.
2. Application
BIOFA Hard Wax is ready for use. Apply a very thin, even film with a lint free rag or with a machine, then distribute and polish out streak free. After 3-6 hours finish polish by hand or with machine. Apply a second wax coat on high traffic areas.
3. Equipment cleaning
Immediately after use with BIOFA Thinner 0500.
4. Cleaning and caring for the finish:
Dry cleaning with soft broom, rag, mop, or vacuum brush. For damp cleaning, use ph-neutral, mild cleaning agent in lukewarm water. We recommend NACASA Universal Cleaner 4010. See special care instructions for floor surfaces! Important: Be sure to test product before proceeding! Ensure sufficient fresh air circulation when processing and drying the products! Do not use below 16°C!
Drying
After 3-6 hours, dry and ready for finish polishing, will stand up to limited use (20°C/50-55% rel. humidity). Unrestricted use after 24 hours.
Consumption/yield per coat
Plain wood: 25-35g/m² or 30-40m²/l
Primed wood: 15-20g/m² or 50-70m²/l wax
machine: 8-10g/m² or 100-125m²/l.
Storage
Keep cool, dry and properly sealed.
