    This is a rare autographed souvenir program (and separate playbill) from the
    Post-Broadway engagement of William Shakespeare's "ANTONY and CLEOPATRA" at the Shubert Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production opened November 26th, 1947 at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City and ran for 126 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred GODFREY TEARLE and KATHARINE CORNELL (who received the Tony Award for "Best Actress in a Play") and featured CHARLTON HESTON (in what had been his Broadway debut), MAUREEN STAPLETON, KENT SMITH, LENORE ULRIC, RALPH CLANTON, IVAN SIMPSON, ALAN SHAYNE, JAMES GRUELER, ELI WALLACH, ROBERT DUKE, OLIVER CLIFF, DAVID STEWART, JOSEPH WISEMAN, DAVID ORRICK, JOSEPH HOLLAND, MARTIN KINGSLEY, BARNET BIRO, BRUCE GORDON, PAMELA SIMPSON, DAYTON LUMMIS.
